Week 4

“Bah! Only a weakling gives up when he’s becalmed! A strong man sails by ash breeze!”
— Carry on Mr. Bowditch

Our devotion scripture this morning was in I Timothy 4:12, “…but set an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity” and we had the opportunity to discuss the example that Nathaniel Bowditch set for everyone that he encountered in the book, and us. They agreed that he made anyone in his company better for his being there, the same we would want said of us. It was a lively discussion around this real-life navigational hero and how much we enjoyed his company in our reading!

Your student can end the year with a firm handle on the vocab and declensions so they can take this with them into their future Latin study!
