Week 29 (S2W14)
“I am still learning.”
It’s our last week of Challenge A work! (And there is actually quite a bit to do…) Encourage your students as they stay focused and do these final hard things! Please take time to proof their Bronze Bow papers; we are excited to hear these final “best of the year” papers read aloud on Monday!
We are meeting at 8:30 on Monday for:
Devotional/Celebration
Latin Ex. 181 Read Aloud (parts will be assigned)
Read Bronze Bow Papers
Fallacy Detective Skit
Final Blue Book Instructions
Shining Like Stars
“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. ~ Philippians 2:14-16
We discussed how hard the home stretch can be! Let’s not tarnish our twinkle with complaining. Their year has been a shining light.
No CC Math during our online class season. (Math curriculum of choice continues at home)
We reviewed vocab with Jeopardy (Sarea and Makenna were our winners!)
Give yourself a pre-test by seeing how many vocab words you know well, and where gaps are for study this week!
We will be reading Exercise 181 aloud on Monday; answer key here.
It would be a great idea to draw a practice map of the world and see how much you can do from memory! You can then review according to where you had challenges!
Continue reviewing anatomy systems for Monday (drawing 3 systems for Blue Book).
We had fun reviewing Fallacy Detective with Bingo today! Finish up the final chapters this week!
We will be reading a fun skit together on Monday in honor of FD! : )
LTW: Elocution
Bronze Bow Essay (see p. 86, Essay 7 format)
Sample essay (following Essay 7 format) on p. 126; checklist on p. 115
Include parallelism (phrases/clauses) in your final paper! See Essay 4 for parallelism.
This week, have your parent proof your paper draft so you have a polished, final paper for Monday.
